Who is this Diploma for?
The CACHE Level 3 Diploma is designed for individuals who aspire to become early years educators, including class teachers in nurseries, kindergartens, or reception classes. It is also ideal for current teaching assistants seeking promotion to lead teaching roles.
To enrol, applicants must:
- Hold a high school, college diploma, or a CACHE Level 2 qualification
- Have an intermediate level of English
- Be at least 16years old
Qualification Outlines:
The educational units in the CACHE Level 3 Diploma consist of 10 core modules that cover essential topics aimed at preparing educators to work effectively in the early years sector. These include:
- Introduction to the role of the early years educator
- Holistic child development
- Understanding play for holistic development and learning
- Effective communication in an early years setting
- Promoting an effective
- Early years curriculum
- Assessment of children’s learning and development
- Safeguarding and welfare requirements
- Health, wellbeing and safety
- Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Partnership working
Assessment:
Pass all 10 units, Each unit has 3 mini assignments (written) and the Learners will need to be working or volunteer for practical placement during the course at (nursery or school) for 350 hours,
With three categories:
- 0 – 1 year old for 25 hours.
- 2 – 3 years old for 133 hours.
- 3 – 5 years old 192 hours.
After completing the placement hours, learners will go through 3 direct observations with those age groups.
